The BLM has released its Environmental Assessment for the Great Divide Basin Area which is a wild horse management area near Rock Springs, Wyoming. The BLM estimates that there are currently 1700 horses in this area, and they plan to remove 1225 wild horses this summer. Please send comments about the destruction of yet another Wyoming herd:

Removing 1225 wild horses is insane, criminal, & against every value system the United Statese of America stands for.
Out here in MO, Wyoming is airing all these enticing TV ads — they start with a wild herd of horses running free. . . .you get the idea.

Leave Americas beautiful wild horses alone. They have been so crucial to man and making this country what it is today. They deserve respect and freedom as we have, they are Americans too! Stop the insanity…
I have been writing letters, emailing and telephoning government offices for years to voice my opposition to the wild horse gatherings yet nothing seems to be happening except – business as usual. It is heartbreaking to continue realizing that the opinion of the american people is falling on deaf ears and that politics and economics are ruling in this situation. Can’t we let these horses be? Can’t we honor and respect these noble creatures that have contributed so much to our American heritage. Is there no honor left in this country in respect to the contribution these animals have made to our society? Again, I say – let these animals live in their natural habitat and stop interferring in their lives – especially in such inhumane and cruel ways. Do we have to continue to show the greatness of this country by controling and exploiting everything? Get a grip U.S. Government and BLM and Ministry of the Interior. Stop the madness.

Here is my very emotional comment that I sent off to that bunch of hypocrites at the BLM:
I am disgusted! The BLM is a disgrace to not only the American people but to humanity. People who commit such a cruelty on an animal should encounter the same treatment. Oh, I would love to take one of your helicopter pilots… and let my imagination run free what to do with him, and it won’t be pretty…. Justice would be done!
Who gives you people the right to treat these free animals the way you do? It is pathetic. You are a self-righteous bunch of pathetic hypocrites that probably think everything is justfied as long as you run to church on Sunday; then go out and commit theses crimes. Please!!! You, people, are the ones who are invading animal space, not the other way around.
Stay away from these Mustangs… all of them, no matter where they are. Wyoming, Nevada, Montana…. it doesn’t matter.

Why don’t we put our heads together and come up with an action plan. There are influential people in the acting world; news media; on RFDTV, etc. that could speak out against this. If I wasn’t in the “horse community” I would not know anything about this. So my point is, we MUST get help to spread the word.
I am more than willing to do my part . . . I am “one” person, but as a group we can make a difference. How about it????
i have been following this story of abuse and i have sent this to all types of people,trying to get them help, i have made several phone calls to so many people,,,and will continue to do so till they leave them alone ,,let them be , FREEDOM, is there world and our natural beauty on this earth, the cruel, intention to harm these horses is so sicking i just cant stand this , i will as a AMERICAN, fight for them as i hope everyone else does,,,,Please, help them,,,,STOP BLM,,,,,,May God Bless Our Wild Horses,,,,,,We must put a stop to this….NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not an acceptable solution for anyone, not horse nor man. This is more taxpayer dollars that are being used without our permission, on our PUblic lands, with America’s , no the AMERICAN peoples horses. This is the BLM’s way of ensuring that the American Mustang and burro, our wild horses, goes to extinction before the next century.This will not be happening , not this day, not next week, and not in our lifetime.WE THE PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA..WILL NOT ALLOW IT! AND WE WILL NOT STAND BY IDLY WHILE GOVERNMENT ROLLS OVER US, TAKING AWAY THESE INCREDIBLE NATIVE HORSES.WE ARE NOT GOING AWAY!…the wild horse roundups are going to cease in my lifetime.This cruelty to animals will not be tolerated by the American people anymore.And just like these American Icons of the West, we are growing in numbers. I have been involved in this fight for almost 2 years – many others have been at a lot longer! What I don’t get is the thousands of emails, phone calls, faxes, protests, letters, court cases, ad naseum, that have been sent, made, organized have made little if ANY difference in stopping this insanity. The BLM is a government agency which means WE THE PEOPLE pay their salaries!!! Why are we looking for “high profile people” (and there are already MANY of those involved!) to make this stop? I want to know why OUR opinions are being ignored by OUR governent officials! There’s more news about an elected official sending porno pictures via email and cell phone, and how he’s fighting to not be made to leave office, than there is about the fact the majority of WE THE PEOPLE want the BLM to stop “gathering and destroying” OUR wild horses on OUR public land!
