March 22, 2011Adobe Town Wild Horse Sale and Rescue
Soon to be free at last! The sale and rescue of wild horses from Adobe Town that have been held at the BLM’s Canon City holding facility since October has finally been approved through the tireless efforts of Sandra Longley. 11 older stallions and 24 older mares (some of whom who will be foaling soon) will travel from Canon City to their new home at Blackstone Ranch in Taos next week. For more information and to make donations go to The Spirit of the Wild Horse site: http://www.spiritofthewildhorse.com/blog/entry?p=1
Here is a link to photos of the 11 stallions, including Greybeard, the valiant grey stallion and Paprika, the red roan stallion, whom I photographed during the Adobe Town roundup: http://www.livingimagescjw.com/CLIENTS/AdobeTownStallions
I will be traveling down to Taos next week to photograph their arrival at their new home.
