Congress is back in session and the 2018 Budget will be under consideration. Over 46,000 wild horses and burros currently in short term holding and long term holding plus over 46,000 right now still on public lands but deemed “excess” by the BLM are at risk of being killed or sent to slaughter.
Despite asserting the need to do this to save money, on 8/29 the BLM announced its decision to roundup and remove 1560 wild horses from the Checkerboard Area in Wyoming, a vast area of over 2.4 million acres. They will begin this removal on or after September 15 and will take 513 wild horses from Adobe Town, 725 from Salt Wells Creek and 322 from Great Divide Basin. These horses are doomed to be killed if the 2018 Budget passes as is.

Save our Wild Horses they are ICONS of history and helped us get where we are today. they must be saved for future generations and are Gods creatures and earned a right to live
My Congresscritter’s aide said that they have received quite a few calls, so I hope all of Congress is getting inundated.
What would we have done without the Horse to plow or fields, pull our machinery into battle, carry our soldiers into war and die along side them? Our wild horses DESERVE a free life in our country for all they endured. There is plenty of land for them to live a peaceful life before they to become EXTINCT by the hand of man!!!!! This endless slaughter of our american heritage thru either round-ups of our wild horses or thru sending our domesticated horses to slaughter to send over seas for consumption MUST BE HALTED!!!! They DON’T deserve to die!!! SAVE them NOW before they become EXTINCT!!!!!!
