Congress lets down our wild horses – Roundups to resume in July

The 2011 budget that was just approved in Congress gives the BLM enough funds to meet its funding needs for the Wild Horse and Burro Program – this means they will start rounding up and removing wild horses again this July, with a goal of removing over 10,000 wild horse this year despite all the letters and calls and emails from concerned people in the US and all over the world.

The Cattlemen’s lobby has proved to be more powerful than the people in influencing Congress so far.  We need to keep speaking out for our wild horses, and here is an easy link to use from the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign to send letters to the editors of your local newspapers:
