Thanks for doing this very motivating and informative program with Simone Netherlands. Although I am an advocate of Reserve Design to contain wild horse/burro numbers, I still commend Simone and her 100 stalwart collaborators for fighting the good fight for these wonderful naturally living horses and for countering all the bias, prejudice and even deliberate lies that are so egregious and must be countered. I will write in.
Yet another excellent podcast, Carol. Thank you for sharing this with your listeners. And thank you to Simone for all her work and advocacy in protecting our wild horses on US public lands.
This was a really informative podcast about what we can do to help protect our wild mustangs.
I believe the helicopter roundups of the wild horses need to be stopped permanently. The wild horses are constantly being chased by the helicopters causing them to get serious injuries, being removed from their homes on the public lands, separated from their families and end up losing their freedom. It’s horrible tragedy for the wild horses
Agree completely Diane and pray constantly that the wild horses should be left alone and never again be harassed by helicopters. These beautiful horses, with their foals and families separated is pure evil from the BLM!! The tragedy, horrific anguish, deaths and loss of freedom these horses experience is immoral and unforgivable. I am retired but will donate as much as I can and will continue to sign petitions (although I have little faith that my representatives or Congress care, but I pray they do and will act), and I find hope in reading the stories and images through the wonderful and courageous people who give their ‘all’ in protecting these iconic American Mustangs. May God watch over all.
