Ep #30: Following Oregon’s Wild Horses: Interview with Mustang Meg
April 8, 2024Art Fundraiser to Support the Adoption of the wild horses of McCullough Peaks
April 26, 2024Thirty-nine McCullough Peaks wild horses were rounded up in Wyoming recently and these beautiful but scared beings are currently at the Rock Springs corrals awaiting adoption. I invite you to listen in to this week’s episode especially if you’ve been wondering what you can do to help give these horses a soft landing.
I’m joined by Sandy Sisti of Wild at Heart Images and Gina Kuttrus of For the Love of Aria who are both working diligently to inform everyone about the upcoming adoption process and needs of the horses. In this conversation, we discuss the challenges of adopting wild horses and the importance of educating the public.
We encourage anyone interested in helping the McCullough Peaks mustangs to get involved by donating funds, bidding in the art auction, applying to adopt a horse, or spreading awareness of this critical effort. With open communication and cooperation between advocates, the goal is to see that all 39 wild ones find safe and caring homes where they can live out their days in peace.
The adoption for the mares is May 6-13, 2024 in the BLM Online Corral and the adoption for the geldings (former stallions) is July 8-15, 2024.
The Art Auction to help the McCullough Peaks wild horses at Rock Springs corrals will be online April 22 – May 2, 2024

I support you 💯 so I say this with all the love I have for every horse anywhere–this is not going to be a normal adoption of wild horses. Y’all memorize every single rule they have which you know how to find, stand strong ladies and gentlemen this is gonna be a showdown. It’s always a good practice to have a legal advisor present with y’all so blm throws the book at you and away for the trophy hunters you can open that book and hand them back the appropriate page. Always always did I mention always remember.. remember Kat being born, watching Brumby and what an amazing big brother he was, watching Thora come into this world wild and free as God intended, like y’all would forget any of that. So remember first and forever the lies, deceptions, cruelty, abuse, how they are being treated now and no one is allowed to even visit to see about their welfare, all the promises and public statements, press release and so on. That’s what you are dealing with liars, old fat men who make millions chasing foals to their deaths in helicopters. I’m asking as the genteel Southern lady my Momma raised me to be.. you give ’em hell like the Devil himself took possession of you! If all else fails throw in Redneck, Hillbilly, white trash sass and make believers out of the corrupt to the core dept of OUR GOVERNMENT, don’t ever forget they civil rights either since they like to act like it doesn’t apply to them. It’s the governor so duh it does. Y’all can do this, I know in my heart you can do this, y’all have have limited resources, a handful of advocates, world class and applauded photographers. Sounds daunting right lol y’all have the whole world sea to shining sea behind you and you couldnt buy the kind of attention now brought to bear on the sadistic leaders at blm
So yeah I really do have faith and unbelievable respect for y’all . Give’em hell with a rebel yell for me, I gotta see if there is one media hoggin celebrity that’s not blocked so I can plead the wild horses and burros future to them.
I want to adopt Moon Shadow and Thora. I know will not have the funds. I want them to be my babies in a forever loving home. How do I fill out an application for help.
